Analysys International: Autonavi and NavInfo Lead China¡¯s Mobile Mapping Market

According to the Quarterly Survey of China's Mobile Mapping Market 2012Q1£¬ Top 3 players Autonavi£¬ NavInfo and Careland respectively occupied 45%£¬ 43.2% and 6% market share by the end of Mar. 2012.

 

EnfoDesk finds that total market share of Autonavi and NavInfo rose from 85.5% last quarter to 88.2% this quarter. E-map users and brand got further concentrated£¬ however it didn't reach monopoly threshold of 50%. Meantime£¬ other providers' market share dropped from 14.5% last quarter to 11.8% this quarter. The fierce price competition in e-map market£¬ especially considerable needs for high definition map required by mobile phone map or navigation service providers will put e-map providers in 2nd tier in a difficult situation.
