(Analysys International makes revisions on past statistics in mobile device field based on the final data provided by its partners and players. Some statistics are slightly different from the published before. However, all the figures herein shall be the standard data).

Smartphone has occupied nearly 30% of the market share in Q1, 2011. The promotion in the Spring Festival and operators' strengthened efforts in 3G promotion play an important role in the growing transaction value of smartphone.

iPhone following a boom in the last quarter, its sequential growth rate of transaction value was 6.4%, which slowed down a little. However the inventory of iOS in the smartphone market kept growing, reaching 6.1%, increasing by 0.7% compared with the last quarter. One predicts that with the arrival of CDMA and White iPhone 4 in China, the transaction value of iOS will keep growing.

Driven by operators represented by China Telecom, Samsung, Coupe and other device manufactures, Android mobile phones has made a steady growth, with its inventory up 0.4%.

About Symbian, even though benefitted from diversified marketing and new series of Nokia mobile phones like Series C and E as well as a nearly 5% sequential growth rate in Nokia smartphone transaction, it has been hit by Android represented by Samsung and Motorola, iOS and Blackberry. Nokia's inventory has dropped by 0.3% to less than 60%. With the cooperation between Microsoft and Nokia, Symbian will surely retreat from the market.

RIM continued to deploy in the Chinese market this quarter. In cooperation with major 3 operators, the sequential growth rate of its Blackberry mobile phones has reached 9.2%. As one of a few business-centered brand in the Chinese market, the development of Blackberry is worthy of our attention.

Analysys international holds that since the end of March, numerous device manufacturers represented by LG and Motorola has begun to release their new mobile phone product line around the world. High-end star smartphones with dual core have emerged, posing a great challenge to iPhone. This kind of mobile phones will enter into the Chinese market next quarter as predicted. Plus continuous efforts and investment in 3G devices, Chinese smartphone market will embrace a new boom in 2011.
